Another Schools Game

I viewed a persons game from Spring Valley and it was about a little alien creature that had to get popsicles. I really liked the graphics. They haven't done much yet but they're at a start with their mini games and all. Our game is going good. I hope that we can get a lot more done after break with our brains rejuvenated. I can't wait for break. It'll be a rest that I think this whole school definately needs.

First Level

Today I made the graphics for the first level of our game. There are 3 buttons and a background. SarahEllen worked on transfering it to the game. I really think our game is going to go great. As of right now it's really cool. I can't wait to make more. This class goes by way too fast.

Gaming

As of right now we've learned to make a button to go to the next screen. Sarahellen has already done some of the game. I'm excited. I think this is going to be a really good game.

Survey

Today we took a survey that really didn't have anything to do with what we were doing. They pretty much asked what you were doing in your life and what you like and dislike about this class. I was not really asked what we were doing, how we were doing it, and how the game could help. I hope our game goes along great.

Project Game Updating

Today we made a plan in our projects on the wiki for our game. We talked about Level 1 and 2 and the mini games you can play when you pick the right answer. I hope our game comes out as planned. The game sounds cool and hopefully it won't be too hard. Well...On my way to get ready for work..school is almost over...bye

ActionScript

I know some about actionscript. I know how to work with codes and how to fix them but I do not know how to create them. I try to work with codes on myspace and other websites with coding on my free time. I love to work with codes and try to make websites or games out of them. I hope our game turns out great.

Broken Kingdom

I really like this game. I can't wait to play it. I hope you all can accomplish this game successfully. Also, another thing that would be cool is if you let water drop and if you catch the water you lose life. Otherwise, your game sounds really cool because these are games people look for to play.

First 9 Weeks

This has been a wild 9 Weeks. Not only is it my Senior Year but I got to finally learn things I want to learn, like designing games. I like that I can finally say, "Why yes, I have designed a game before." I can not wait to see what is instore for us our 2nd 9 weeks. I hope to get the game farther than last years groups but our teachers also knows a lot more this year so I hope that will help us out too. I'm looking forward to working with my partner on our global warming game.

Paper Prototype

We are currently working on our game paper prototypes. This is fun because I get to draw and all the creative stuff. That's what I enjoy doing. SarahEllen is helping too. Hopefully we get the video done soon. Our game is based on Global Warming. What you are doing is being asked a quesiton and if you get it right, you move on to the next level. We might try to include a mini game for each question answered right but we got to think on that. I hope we make a cool game.

Team Slide

Today we made a team slide describing our game. We are going to do a game on Global Warming and Im excited to make this game. It sounds exciting and fun.

The Flying Penguins

My group hopes to accomplish a creative game that can show a social issue in this world. Topics that we have talked about are Pollution, Drug Issues, Immaturity, Global Warming, and Gossip. Me and my partner SarahEllen hope to make a very awesome yet creative game. My part will be artist feature, creative ideas, and SarahEllen will make codes and come up with ideas. I hope to accomplish the game. I want to make it cool with teaching features but I also want to finish it by the due date. I look forward to making this game. =]

Mini Game Edits

Today I finally got my characters to begin at their starting position everytime they get the power up. Also I added another powerdown to make it hard. Hopefully I get more codes in soon.

Mini Game Experience

I learned A LOT!!!! Pretty much everything we learned can help me in the future with a lot of stuff. Like the score board and getting things to move are pretty much all I wanted to learn. I'm excited to learn more. Hopefully my laptop's internet will start working.

Mini Game Coding

Well coding is not easy but once you understand one little mistake can screw up your game, then things start becoming easy. As of right now, you can move my character, get a power up but try not to hit the pizza. Also we learned how to make a navagation tool to get your flash coding to other people. Very hard but at least its understandable.

Viewing Other Blogs

Today I viewed a couple blogs but because we were pressed for time I only got to a couple. Here is one I viewed and commented HERE. Hopefully things start moving faster. Im really enjoying this class.

Blogging in another class.

So it's so much colder in this class room. I kind of like it. We helped other students blog but I think I learned more from Jessica. haha But yea. Im glad it's friday. I get paid. WOOO!!! But yea. We learned about blogging and helped on blogging going. Im going to go. BYEE! =]

Zeit Geist

Today, I played a game called zeit geist and I did not want to stop. It was really fun. It didn't have educational value though. Also, when you went to a new place that was really far into the game, if you lost you started back at the beginning. I think it should have started back at the new place. Zeit Geist was really fun though because it was like super mario and I love that game. I like how you walk through a world and try to get to the end. Hopefully I can make a game like this.

School Vs. Home With Technology

Technology is being created everyday. Day by day, technology is introduced to us including computers, Ipod's, and MP3's. In school, technology is used to learn, research, and is also used for the use of projects. The only problem, sites are being blocked left and right. Sites without any issue's are being blocked and information that students need are being blocked. At home, site's are easier to get to without worrying if the site is blocked. The only problem, we are not using our computers at home for research. I also don't get why Ipod's are not aloud in school. Music helps me work better and it blocks out sounds so I can concentrate more. The use of technology has a big difference in school and at home. Hopefully in school technology gets a little more under control because I think it's too secure.

Another Day

Adding everyone is so confusing and there is so much to do. I think I'm getting the hang of it finally. I can't wait til im done adding everyone. Add me=]. Follow Me=]. I'll try to get more stuff done on my wiki and my blog later. Work after school. =P 4-9. Hopefully it goes by quick.

So yea. Im pretty much happy as can be to finally have a class doing AND learning something I finally want to do and learn. Hopefully I will learn a lot and hopefully it will help me in the future.
